The Art of Crashing

preciousken 've been waiting for the follow up to the 2019 release Pressure Points with baited breath. I was disappointed only by the fact it was three tracks and not twenty. This release is a perfectly blended sound of quality crafting, unique flavor, and infectious hooks. It's one of those releases I can't imagine who I could play this for and have them not enjoy it. It really has a universal appeal. It feels kinetic, like Depeche Mode "Construction Time Again". Favorite track: Results.

RESULTS See them on the television, know you’ll never play their game. Streamlined men that speak in slogans, but never call things by their name. Watching all the storm clouds passing, watch the rains sweep the street. Wait for things to come up cleaner. Go! No-one wins if no-one loses. And the odds are seldom fair. Nobody makes you a victim. nobody except yourself. Keep your finger on the trigger. Keep your finger on the pulse. Don’t relax not for one minute. because that’s how you get results. Taking on the competition. Laughing in the face of fear. Fortitude through persecution. Opposition loud and clear. Don't expect consideration if you’re ready to complain. No gain without application. No! No-one wins if no-one loses. And the odds are seldom fair. Nobody makes you a victim, nobody except yourself. Keep your finger on the trigger. Keep your finger on the pulse. Don’t relax not for one minute. Because that’s how you get results.

FAINTLY FALLING Fog across an old canal. Down side streets dimly lit. Along the walls of crimson brick the centuries bear witness. Rose-tinted haze of memories slicing through the grime. Where is this future that was promised us? Only glimpsed but never given. Where is this future that was promised us? A brave new world, a brave new world. In this bleakest season the disposessed and hopeless move endlessly aimless to their destination. From the fall of reason to a bleak midwinter. Where is this future that was promised us? Only glimpsed but never given. Where is this future that was promised us? A brave new world, a brave new world.

NO SIGN OF DANGER Everyone's a star today. Yet obviously not at all. Thin veneer of rock 'n' roll without the pain exclusion brings. No potential in your emptiness. Not the slightest sign of danger. A trophy that you've never earned. Something you can't understand. A single very dull tattoo glimpsed beneath the on-brand shirt. If that's your authenticity, I would rather not have any. No potential. No sign of danger. No potential in your emptiness. Not the slightest sign of danger. A trophy that you've never earned. Something you can't understand.
